Information for e-resources providers

Please provide license details according to the ONIX-PL standard.

If you are not compliant with the ONIX-PL standard, please provide ALL the following details.

On-site access

For on-site access, IP address-based authentication should be provided.

Current IP addresses ranges for on-site access will be delivered on request at admin-eiz@cuni.cz.

We need to know the e-resource base URL for on-site access.

Remote access and Institutional Login

For remote access, we can support these authentication methods:

  • institutional login (Shibboleth)
  • proxy server IP address
  • institutional login name and password

We prefer to set up both institutional login and proxy.

Again we need to know the e-resource base URL for remote access.

University proxy server IP address:

We are using EZproxy as a proxy.

Charles University Identity Provider Entity ID is https://cas.cuni.cz/idp/shibboleth. The IdP is registered in the Czech Academic Identity Federation eduID.cz and eduGAIN interfederation.

Users are always authenticated by University Central Authentication Service.

Discovery service

For discovery searching, we need full texts (or metadata) indexed in the Central Discovery Index (Ex Libris).

Users are always authenticated by the University Central Authentication Service.

OpenURL linking

We are using the Alma Linker (Ex Libris) for OpenURL linking.

Both OpenURL source and target linking should be provided if appropriate.

University OpenURL linker base URL is https://cuni.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/420CKIS_INST/420CKIS_INST:UKAZ?.

We prefer the standard Alma Linker icon to be presented to Charles University users:

For selective packages, we need to be supplied with journals names, ISSNs and availability details (available from/to year, volume, issue, embargo).

For aggregator packages, we need to be supplied with package names.

Portfolios should be included in the Alma Community Zone (Ex Libris).

E-books that are not included in the Community Zone need to be supplied with full MARC records.

Statistics should be delivered according to COUNTER 5 standard and should be harvestable using the SUSHI protocol.
