Job description
- Developing, implementing and administering of software solution for an institutional data repository
- Administrating an institutional data repository and digital objects stored and accessed therein
- Technically administrating
- implementation of data policy of Charles University (CU) in an institutional data repository as directed by the Data Policy Manager of CU
implementation and operation of data management tools as directed by the Data Policy Manager of CU
- implementation of data policy of Charles University (CU) in an institutional data repository as directed by the Data Policy Manager of CU
- Providing technical and methodological support to PhD students, researchers and faculty open access coordinators in the following areas:
- creating data management plans using tools operated at Charles University
management of research data
description of research data
storage and sharing of research data
- creating data management plans using tools operated at Charles University
- Cooperating with the CU Data Policy Manager on process analyzes related to the creation and implementation of the CU data policy
Requirements
- Minimum Secondary technical education, university education in computer science or librarianship is an advantage
- Advanced computer literacy:
- advanced skills in MS Office tools (especially MS Excel) or their open source equivalents
- advanced skills in any of the OS Linux distributions (Fedora, Ubuntu, RHEL, etc.)
- basic knowledge of Python and Java programming languages is an advantage
- basic knowledge of XML and XSLT languages
- Analytical thinking
Willingness to learn new things and to give technical trainings
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge in scholarly communication
- Basic knowledge in open data / science
- Basic knowledge in analytical techniques and statistical methods
